Publisher: Artifex Mundi       Developer: Moonrise Interactive       Release Year: 2013

A lady detective is called to investigate a shipwreck in a harbor town. She discovers that the ship is haunted by the ghost of a young girl and a mysterious cloaked figure with a hook for a hand. She must uncover the secret of the girl's past on a forgotten island to solve the mystery.

Type: Color Matching Wheels

Comment: The first puzzle is a common HOG puzzle. Turn the wheels until all the gems are one solid color, taking advantage of duplicate colors on the wheels. It's not difficult, but here's what it looks like solved.

Type: Rotating Rings Pipe Puzzle

Comment: Spin the wheels to line up the pipes and don't forget to turn the valves when you're done. It'll look like this when it's right.

Type: Magic Square

Comment: Each row and column must add up to 15. The 4, 7, and 8 are locked in place (this makes placement of the 3 obvious). The full solution is: Top Row: 492; Middle Row: 357; Bottom Row: 816. (I couldn't get a screenshot because it transitioned too quickly.)

Type: Clock Puzzle

Comment: Set it to 7:10, per your journal.

Type: Tile Flipping Puzzle

Comment: Highlighting a tile will allow you to exchange it with adjacent tiles. Flip the ones that are wrong until you have a complete picture. It'll look like this when it's done.

Type: Bookshelf Puzzle

Comment: The books go in order of the Zodiac symbols per the notes in your journal. If you seriously need the solution even with that, here it is.

Type: Jigsaw Puzzle

Comment: Assemble the map. It'll look like this when it's done.

Type: Telescope Puzzle

Comment: Move the telescope around and find the objects on the paper to the right. Click on them when you find them to cross them off the list.

Type: Screen Maze

Comment: Technically not considered a puzzle by the game's logic as there is no option to skip it, but I track these anyway because of how often they appear in HOG's. Always choose the red path, per your map.

Type: Battery Number Puzzle

Comment: With this common HOG puzzle, always start by solving the largest number, in this case 107. Here's the solution if you can't figure it out.

Type: Object Removal

Comment: Grab the swords and slide them out, one by one. Always take the topmost one.

Type: Rotating Rings Picture Puzzle

Comment: Spin the rings until you have the full image of a tree. Start with the roots at the bottom. Here's the solved picture.

Type: On/Off Puzzle

Comment: The letters in the name ISABELLA must all be turned off. Clicking one affects the others near it, but it's not difficult to solve.

Type: Color Wheel

Comment: When you're done, you'll be presented with a common HOG Color Wheel. Click 2 until hitting it will no longer turn any red panels green. Then hit 3, then keep hitting 2 again.

Type: Simon Says Music Puzzle

Comment: Turn the key on the doll to make the harp play a tune. Repeat the harp's tune. Numbering left to right, the answer is: 1462531.

Type: Family Tree

Comment: These faces are mixed up, but a page in your journal will tell you who is who. This is what it looks like completed.

Type: Screen Maze

Comment: This game has two of these. Wait for the compass needle to settle, then always take the northern path.

Type: Lockpicking Puzzle

Comment: The final puzzle is the most annoying one. First, pick up a lockpick and find the keyhole it fits in. Then click it to start it moving inside. As it passes under the springs, you must time your clicks so that it bumps them up and opens the lock. Repeat for the other two. Timing is critical here and that bottom one is a doozy.
