Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt
A Tale of Two
Cartridges:
My friend Deathspork, who is the webmaster of the NES Retreat, mentions on his site that some copies of Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt do not have the Nintendo Seal of Quality on them. I can confirm that this is true! Because I have bought games from garage sales and flea markets, I've ended up with several copies of SMB/Duck Hunt, and one of mine is indeed lacking the seal! As far as I can tell, it is NOT a pirated cart! Here are some scans (please click on them for a larger image) | |

Snake Rattle N Roll
Most Creative Subliminal Advertising:
I have to thank Fenrir of Fenrir's Sprite Domain
for discovering this NES Oddity. Look carefully at these screenshots from
Snake Rattle n Roll. The walls and floors spell out "GAMEBOY" in big
letters! I'm not exactly sure what level this is, but it's the one that
comes right after the grey level with the huge waterfall that you have to
swim up. | ||
