WANDERING TRAVELER

Sometimes, life gives you woe
And there's nowhere to go
But I am a wandering traveler
The world is my home

I do not wish for fame
I will not stake any claim
For I'm just a passing shadow
A person that no one can know
As soon as I am here, I am gone

What mysteries do I hide?
That's what I won't confide
'Cause I'm just a wandering traveler
Keeping my stride

I shall relay to no one
The things in the past that I've done
There's no reason I should reveal
Anything that I've concealed
To you I'm just another nameless face

We all keep secrets hid,
The reasons that we forbid
To tell 'em to a wandering traveler
We keep them quiet

My past, I can't remember
But I've been around forever
Just drifting without a handle
With my very life, I gamble
As soon as I am here, I am gone
