LOST PAGES OF HISTORY

A thousand years were taken from the past
Through an age when even the slow days moved fast
Now the tides of change have washed away
All traces of that history (in the blink of an eye)
Is there any key to unlock this long-gone mystery?

I have walked the road of ease for too long
Ever-swaying with the breeze
I have wandered too far beyond
The horizons and boundaries of troubled seas

I heard the wind begin to wail,
"Favor of one, ne'er tip the scale
A wise man knows, to all avail
There are two sides to every tale..."

I'll wade into the river's tide
To walk the shores of the other side
Upon the distant earth I'll wake
Unless, my soul, the fates should take
I'll journey 'cross the river's floor
And surface on the other shore
Where grass is greener
And skies are cleaner
I swear I'll be true to my word

Time is not forever cast
The future changes all the past
What was once, will be again
Where it begins is where it all ends
